Having a bathroom that is big and luxurious is one of the best remodels a homeowner can do. It can be an important factor that has the possibility to increase the value of your home. Using the right colours in a bathroom is a necessity; using lighter colours can bring life into your bathroom and make it feel roomier. That said using the right accessories such as light coloured towels and flannels can also add to the lighting of the bathroom.

Furniture in a bathroom can block out the most effective views so using shelves to hold any smaller items and clutter is a good idea. Shelves that stick out too far aren't recommended as this can also block out any views and create dark shadows that are distracting. Using storage in the bathroom is helpful to clear out any smaller clutter you don't want lying about. Towels can sometimes be in the way a lot but a towel holder connected to the back of the door is a fantastic way to reduce the amount of accessories you may have lying about.

The lighting in a room is very important and can either kill the feel of big space in a room if not used right or bring a room to life. Lamp shades are not necessary in a bathroom because they create too much shadow on the ceiling. Ceiling lights that are implemented are a good idea to reduce shadow and can really brighten up a room. Lighting above mirrors is also a good idea having that extra glow is a nice effect.
